Questions families ask

Which ages do you take?

From six weeks to the year before kindergarten, in four rooms: Infants, Twos, Threes and Fours.

Can we tour?

Yes. A tour takes about half an hour, any weekday, and your child is welcome to come along. Book it online or call us.

What does a day look like?

Arrival, circle time with songs and a short prayer, play, lunch with a blessing, rest, outdoor time and pickup. Each room keeps the rhythm at its own pace.

What does the license mean?

Pocket is licensed by ECECD, New Mexico's early childhood agency, as a child care center. The number is at the bottom of every page, and you can check it with the state.

How many children does each teacher care for?

Each age group has its own number, listed with our license.

How does tuition work?

It depends on your child's age, the schedule and the room. We explain each part, and give you the figures, at the tour.

How do I join the waitlist?

Tell us your child's age and the schedule you hope for, by phone or with the form. We call when a place opens, in the order families joined.

Do you teach religion?

Pocket is a ministry of Santa Rita Parish, so each day has a short prayer, a song and a blessing before lunch. We don't have lessons for the youngest children, and we adapt everything to each age.

Are children of other faiths welcome?

Yes. Families of any faith, or none, are welcome, and we don't ask which parish you belong to.

Who speaks Spanish?

Higinia, Agripina and Calixto speak Spanish with the children and with families, and everything on this site is also in Spanish.

Still wondering?

Write or call, and we answer within a day.
