Higinia Medellin

Director

Higinia directs Pocket. She greets each family at the front door, speaks Spanish and English with them and keeps the center's license in order.

Higinia grew up in the Mesilla Valley, in a Mexican American family, and has directed Pocket since it opened as a ministry of Santa Rita Parish. She wants families to know her before they decide.

What she does at Pocket

  • Greeting every family at the door
  • Spanish and English with families
  • Walking you through the license at the tour

Checks and training

  • Background check

  • CPR and first aid training

At the front door

Pocket opens at seven in the morning, and Higinia is at the door. She knows who is coming, who is new and who needs a longer goodbye.

When she is not at the door, Agripina covers for her. You meet both of them at the tour.

Come and say hello

Higinia shows you around herself.
